Overview

Muzzle is a lightweight de-esser for taming harsh sibilance and whistling vocals. I needed something that was fast and flexible, and wanted to integrate part of my daily-driver vocal chain (top-end filters) into a single plugin.

For Transparency

Muzzle's de-esser core is adapted from two free, MIT-licensed Airwindows plugins by Chris Johnson — DeBess and DeEss. This core is extended with Muzzle's tunable band-pass detection, timing controls and pre-chain filters.
